Sonise Cadet is a passionate advocate for children, underserved communities, and the elderly. Her unwavering commitment to helping others has profoundly shaped her personal and professional life. Growing up in a nurturing environment, Sonise developed a deep love for children, which blossomed through her extensive volunteer work at local churches, schools, and community centers. This dedication led her to pursue higher education, earning an associate degree in Legal Secretary and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies.

Sonise continued her studies in social work at the master’s level but was unable to complete the degree due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite this, her career flourished, and she worked as a VPK teacher, substitute teacher, and Children’s Ministry Director in local churches, where she played an instrumental role in organizing community activities for youth. She is supported in her work by her husband, Edyle Cadet.

With her experience in educational and community settings, Sonise has created nurturing spaces where children can thrive, providing them with mentorship, encouragement, and vital resources. Recognizing a similar need among the elderly and disabled in her community, Sonise was inspired to establish SMS Community Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential services, resources, and companionship to these often-overlooked populations.

Sonise’s work embodies her core belief in the power of community and the importance of supporting one another. Through her initiatives, she has made a significant impact on countless lives, championing compassion, kindness, and the dignity of every individual. With a heart full of love for children and a dedication to uplifting the elderly, Sonise continues to inspire her community every day.
